Max Van Olffen
Max van Olffen is an artist from the Netherlands. He graduated from the Royal Academy of fine arts in The Hague. His practice uses a variety of different media, both traditional and contemporary to explore how we relate to material culture. Through subtle as well as more blatant hints he researches how we shape the material around us and how it shapes us and our history. His otherworldly artifacts give us a taste of how we mark, bejewel, display, interpret, cover and uncover in an effort to function as a material mirror.
